The competition was tough, but our judges decided that only a small number of entries reached our stringent Direct Mail standards. Certificates of Distinction have been awarded to the Marina Mandarin Singapore in the Creative Excellence category and American Express International Inc. in the Overall Effectiveness category.
Winner of the Creative Excellence category

The Marina Mandarin's winning Direct Mail concept was created to announce the appointment of Charles Tee, their new Executive Assistant Manager of Marketing and Sales and to showcase highlights in the hotel's 2007 / 2008 calendar.
The Marina Mandarin's Formula 1 concept - using the much-anticipated 2008 Singapore Grand Prix as the creative focus - was the clincher for the judges who agreed that it gave the Direct Mail more than enough power and drive to push home the hotel's other upcoming events.

Winner of the Overall Effectiveness category

It was the response to the American Express Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer PPS Club Platinum Credit Card Direct Mail that gave it the edge in DMrocket's Overall Effectiveness category.
With a target audience of time-strapped, high-end frequent fliers, American Express knew that they had to keep the message short and sweet to get their attention. By presenting the Credit Card on a blue satin backdrop in a slim, elegant silver box and with an equally sophisticated reminder mailer, American Express was rewarded with a response rate that was well above industry standards.
